Neighbourhood information

The old town of Nin is located on an islet in the middle of a shallow lagoon and is connected to the mainland by two stone bridges. Thanks to its rich history, this city is also called the First Croatian Royal City and the cradle of the Croatian state, as evidenced by numerous historical monuments in the city. In Nin there is also the smallest cathedral in the world - the church of St. Cross that, due to its way of construction, served as a clock and calendar in the era when it was built. In the vicinity of Nin there is also a small church of St. Nicholas, in front of which the Croatian kings were crowned and today it serves as a viewpoint from which an unforgettable view extends, especially in the evening. Queen's beach is the most famous shallow and sandy beach, part of which also has medicinal mud. In the very center of Nin is one of the most famous Croatian saltworks, where you can see how salt is made.<br /></p>
