Our 185-year-old Istrian stone house blends modern and traditional, apart from common tourist establishments. Decorated with care to preserve its authenticity and warmth, it has hosted numerous friends. We are confident our house will provide you with a unique experience. It features a 1000 m2 fenced backyard with an outdoor heated tub and is located in Sovinjak, about 50km from Opatija, Trieste, and Poreč.

We are a retired couple with two grown-up sons and one grandchild. We love spending time with family and friends, tending our olive trees, taking walks in nature, and caring for our guests.

The house is in the center of the small town of Sovinjak, 300 meters above sea level over the Mirna River valley. Behind the house is a large private fenced grassy yard with olives and fruit trees providing intimacy. The entrance to the house is from the central square. The place has about twenty permanent residents. Occasionally, the town hosts weekend residents in arranged villas and houses. There's an Istrian type of inn in the town, with several more along the Mirna River heading west. Sovinjak is 7 km from Buzet, about 50 km from Trieste, Opatija, Rijeka, Poreč, Umag, and Rovinj, and about 80 km to Pula and the airport. A narrow asphalt road connects the town of Sovinjak to nearby smaller settlements and the main road at the foot of the hill on which the town is built (you can reach this road after a 5-minute drive).
