The most popular destination is for sure National Park Plitvice Lakes. Oldest and biggest National park in Croatia and protected under UNESCO since 1979. For any more information feel free to ask, as a tour guide I know quite a bit about the area. In the village next by, just 4 km away, there are many restaurants where you can eat after a long walk in the park. Restaurants Old Shatterhand and Degenija are recommended. Also in the same village, you can find 2 small markets, and for any bigger shopping, you can go to Plitvice Mall. The surroundings around the house are calm and quiet, bird noise is gonna be the only one you will hear.
