Fabulous traditional stone house, with its numerous terraces and a fantastic roofed outdoor summer lounge connected to a swimming pool, with open views towards UNESCO Stari grad plain and Brač island. The house offers 2 spacious bedrooms and a self contained apartment (4th smaller bedroom available on request) and 3 bathrooms, as well as the outdoor pool shower. The kitchen with a small breakfast island offers all the modern facilities. A huge indoor living room with a dining table within the 'traditional croatian konoba' provides a cooling place to relax. The roofed summer lounge feathers comfortable feather cushioned lounge sofa and a chair, a hammock and a large dinning table. Perfect to chill and shade from the sun. Barbecue facilities also available. The house has numerous terraces to the front and back, where you can find your own space. The main terrace is full of lush Mediterranean plants. The house is in the heart of one of Hvar islands most vibrant villages, nesting amongs the three gorgeous harbour towns of Jelsa, Vrboska and Stari grad. Beaches are cycling distance away. Vrbanj is a popular cycling route connecting Jelsa and Stari Grad. The old road that takes you through UNESCO protected countryside filled with ancient olive groves and vineyards.

I was introduced to Hvar island by my Slovenian born wife Tatjana back in 2006 and was immediately blown away by this island's beauty. We decided to buy this traditional Dalmatian stone house and brought it back to its original charm, adding some modern comforts and enhancing its potential. The outdoor roofed terrace with a swimming pool has been proving a favourite with us, our friends and visitors, where you can enjoy outdoor dinning and chilling in a hot summer days. We enjoy exploring the island by car, motorcycle or bicycles - its numerous beaches, old villages, beautiful views from the mountains towards the sea. Tatjana is a keen swimmer, stand up boarder and a yoga instructor who loves practising yoga by the sea and on our terraces. By profession I am a British car engineer and keen car, motorcycle and house restorer. I also enjoy painting.

The house is located just below the village's pijaca (centre) with its village bar, a small shop and restaurant Bogo. In the village there is an award winning vinery Pavičić which also offers wine tasting. As Vrbanj is surrounded by ancient vineyards, olive groves and pine woodland and located only a short distance to the neighbouring harbours of Jelsa (3km), Vrboska (4km) and Stari grad (6km), the journey to each of them is incredible scenic, whether travelling by bicycle or a car. Also great for walkers. There are numerous beaches and swimming places in all directions from the house, which location is perfect starting point for exploring them. Taking in the incredible nature, ancient villages, vegetation, mountaines views towards the incredible blueness of the Adriatic sea, on its way. People come back to Hvar over and over again, because it is mesmerising and incredible, out of this world beautiful. No wonder it gets being voted as one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Because - that it is.
