This property is our ancestral family home which has been lovingly renovated into apartments which still retain the old-world stone cottage vibe. Our apartments are nestled in the small historic old town on a pedestrian street 100 metres from the main square and the idyllic fishing harbour which is populated with the traditional wooden boats the area is known for. We offer free parking which is located 600 metres from our property because there is no vehicle access in the old town of Betina. You may, however, stop for 10 minutes or so near the apartment to unload your luggage before we direct you to the parking area.

We are a brother and sister team who are passionate about maintaining our Croatian heritage. Both of us have grown and been educated in Australia and that's where we return to when we can. Glenys is still employed in Australia and gets to Croatia as often as she can manage it. Goran is retired and spends 50% of the year in Betina renovating our grandmother's house. We both love our village and think it's the most beautiful place in the world.

BETINA is one of four villages on the island of MURTER. The island is easily accessible via the freeway from Zagreb to Split. Murter is only 20 minutes from the city of Šibenik and is easily reached via a bridge that joins it to the mainland in the village of Tisno. A visitor to the island of Murter would enjoy the historical charm of villages that were established over 500 years ago. Betina is not only known for tourism, but also as a shipbuilding town. Betina is specifically known for its long tradition in wooden shipbuilding and is famous for its excellent shipbuilders. Betina is one of few remaining centres of small wooden shipbuilding on the Croatian Adriatic. This special cultural heritage can be admired during a visit to the harbour of the old town, in addition to the celebrated Museum of Wooden Shipbuilding. The island offers easy access to the breath-taking beauty of the KORNAT National Park of over 140 islands and the SLAPOVE KRKE Waterfalls. Activities on the island include diving excursions; day trips to the Kornat and/or Slapove Krke; sailing and of course, swimming and sunbaking in the pristine waters of the Adriatic Sea. Summer on Murter also hosts a number of sailing regattas, weekly waterpolo tournaments and numerous local festivals. The more adventurous traveller will discover hidden coves around the island where they can enjoy the sun and the sea in privacy and eat in restaurants that enjoy some of the most beautiful views in the world. The more relaxed traveller will enjoy some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
