Our family has been living on this site for 80 years, and each generation has welcomed guests from all over the world. After the renovations of 2020 we decided to rebrand the apartments as Muziqa, since music is the lifeblood of this city: it can be heard in cafés, churches, streets and squares… everywhere!

Muziqa Apartments offers our guests Nespresso coffee and tea, bottled water, our own Muziqa wine from the Pelješac region, recently praised in a Vogue article. We do not serve breakfast, but it is available in cafés on the main square, which are mere 50 meters away. Muziqa Apartments are located in a 15-century building that withstood the devastating earthquake of 1667, and some of the medieval and renaissance features on it are still visible, as are the baroque elements that have been added since. Muziqa is only steps away from the Stradun promenade, Sponza palace, St. Blaise church, the Old Synagogue, and Dominican monastery, as well as a myriad other interesting historical and cultural landmarks, bars and restaurants. Several beaches are also within 500 meters radius, as well as the old port, from which boat rides can be taken to the archipelago of islands surrounding Dubrovnik. We have completely renovated our apartments during 2020, and each has a private bathroom, soundproof windows with blinds, kitchenette, air conditioning, TV, and free internet access. We have combined antique family furniture with the latest in modern design not only to make your stay comfortable, but also to offer the authentic experience of a UNESCO-protected city that has been around for two millennia.

The streets surrounding Muziqa are named Zlatarska (Goldsmiths’), Kovačka (Blacksmiths'), Peline (Tanners’), which gives a good idea of who the inhabitants were. Our micro-block is hedged on the one side by the Sponza palace, which was a customs center built in 1520, and the Old Synagogue in Žudioska street (Jewish street) that was established in 1352, and is said to be the second oldest synagogue in Europe.
