Hello and welcome to our page! My name is Mirko, owner of Villa Pauletta. As a traveller I've always preferred to stay among the local people rather than in a touristy hotel. So here at Villa Pauletta we are trying to give our guests a feeling of inclusion and an opportunity to add their own special qualities and talents to our community. We've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

The history of Villa Pauletta, a stone house in Split Varoš, inspired us in her most beautiful sense, we was devoted to her restoration with passion and diligence. I always dreamed of how we will one day return the glow of the house. We really tried to preserve that original, authentic spirit of old Split. For the first time in the official archives of the town of Split, the stone house is mentioned in 1831. At that time house was built and it serves as a wine cellar however at the beginning of the 19th century the house was converted into a living space. This five-star villa has been completely refurbished in 2018 with exceptional care and detail. Our family-owned restoration followed the laws of the Ministry, Protection and Preservation of ancient Monuments. The restoration of Villa Pauletta lasted from 2012 to 2018. The great majority of renovations were done by us, hand-crafted our own family tradition. After completion of the renovation, we named the Villa after our daughter Paula. Pronunciation of Pauletta as a name for girls has it’s root in Latin. The meaning of Pauletta is “small” Paula.
Villa Pauletta, detached house with the private courtyard and cave pool is located in a very quiet and safe area, just 600 meters walking distance to the world heritage site city of Split and The Diocletian Palace. Among the other activities available, you can enjoy a private outdoor cinema under the stars.
