Renovated in 2025, Amalika is an award winning, totally private, pool villa. The villa was recently voted one of the most luxurious private villas on the island and was designed and built with travelers who are looking for a touch of luxury and the feeling of home, in mind. A serene sanctuary on the fringe of everything this vibrant tropical island has to offer. Set in tropical gardens, the villa boasts a crystal clear 7m Italian mosaic tiled pool with waterfall feature and floating beanbags, perfect to cool down in after a days exploring. Unlike most villas on the island, Amalika has a fully enclosed, air-conditioned, luxurious living area and bedrooms, where guests can relax in a cool, contemporary environment. Alternatively the two sets of double doors can be opened to the pool and garden area, for that indoor/outdoor feel. The doors also have the additional benefit of preventing pool accidents. Child safety always is the responsibility of guests, but if small children are staying at the villa, we advise that parents isolate the pool by keeping double doors closed. On call 24/7 the host and staff go the extra mile to provide guests with very personal service, whilst respecting guests privacy.

At Amalika, comfort, privacy and safety are a priority and the property is owned and managed to very high standards by British born - Australian, Richard. Additionally the villa has two, local, long serving, staff; Bul and Yuda, plus our new trainee Abim. The 'boys' live onsite in totally separate private quarters. They are on call 24/7 to cater for guests needs, ensuring both privacy and ultimate personal service. Everyday, when guests are ready, the staff make breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen within the villa. Prepared from fresh local ingredients bought from the local markets that day, guests can choose from a variety of options. Dietary preferences can be catered for and guests can enjoy their breakfast in the cool of the villa, or for a touch of decadence, ask the staff to serve breakfast on a floating tray in the pool! If guests do not want breakfast at the villa, that's absolutely fine, just let the staff know.

Our guests all tell us that they love the position of Amalika Villa - being just a 3 minute stroll from the main bars, clubs, restaurants and beaches, but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. A little glimpse of village life and its culture and traditions adds to the whole island life experience. A brand new medical clinic and pharmacy has recently opened right next door and we have a great relationship with the owners, who offer our guests a discount and preferential treatment.
