Welcome to Our Bali. I named this place Our Bali because it's not the normal tourist experience. It is in amongst my beautiful people. Locals sometimes swim here or come to visit, not sell. You can help me make offering baskets or have a party here with the Balinese people, if you want. It's your holiday Breakfast sizes are expected to be one large one small. Anymore can be arranged at a fee. I make one meal each evening at 18.00 from the menu. Great meals from around the world. My homestay is in my community Tegal kuning, Bongkasa Pertiwi. Our Bali is a new building, a compound style homestay in the rural village of Bongkasa Pertiwi. The temperature in this restful area is 3-5 degrees Celsius cooler than Ubud, this allows for fresh air night and day. Although all the rooms have Airconditioning guest tend to prefer the fans which have a timer which helps you sleep through the night as it's often a little cool in the mornings. An Australian couple, Ford and Kerry live in the fourth bedroom should you need assists after hours. Their pedigree Kintamani dog will announce your arrival. Our Neighbours are Balinese. A great place for walking or riding around. Many rice fields, one place has a walk like Campuhan Ridge Walk with a view but without steps, hills or tourists. If you can go the distance, also walk through the forest, its one of the best of many in the area. Close by is Bali Swing, white water rafting, coffe plantation and quad bikes. Also Taman beji Waterfall is nice with not many steps and only 2.8 kms away. 3.7 Kms to Sangeh Monkey Forrest, 3,1 kms to Taman Mumbul Sangeh, that holy water temple you can do purification at the place Warung Wabares only 300 meters away from Our Bali Homestay, they have a good selection off the food for lunch Warung Nyanyad only 2,5 km away from Our Bali Homestay, they have a good selection of lokal food as well than also can free deliver to homestay. Warung Mina sangeh only 3,8 km away from Our Bali Homestay, they having a good local food, also can free delivery to Our Bali Homestay 14 Kms away, Margarana National Monument Park is worth a visit. You can go anytime. Each year on the 20th November, there is a ceremony and march to commemorate this battle.
