Our lovely grass roof villas are set in tropical gardens overlooking the Ayung River in Padang Galak at the north end of Sanur. The secluded tranquillity of the river valley is interrupted by sounds of crickets, frogs, dogs and birds. You might see big monitor lizards swim in the river, and maybe even a monkey lope across the land. The accommodation is international deluxe standard and includes WIFI, air conditioning, overhead fans, safe, hair dryer, robes, daily laundry and room service. The property also offers a 25 m swimming pool, onsite gym, salon and spa. Because we have guests from all walks of life (e.g. diplomats, celebrities and people who appreciate seclusion) we place high value on your privacy and security and therefore we restrict access to registered paying guests only. Also for the sake of your peaceful enjoyment of the property, we do not allow children under 9 years of age.

Villa Ayung is named after Bali's longest river which meanders from the mountains of Kintamani through Ubud, past our property and out to the Badung Straight. We are next door to the beautiful yet quiet Sri Sri Krishna Ashram (closed for public worship), and a 12 minute/700 m walk to the horse riding school, warungs and the healing black volcanic sand of Padang Galak beach. Villa Ayung is a short drive to Sanur Port—the ferry and cruise terminal for Nusa Penida, Lembongan, and a 15 minute bike ride to Keramas Beach—which means it's a good option for surfers. The Sanur beach pathway is a 7.3 km walk starting at Mertasari Beach and ending at the Campuhan Temple in Padang Galak down the road from us. Windy season (June-August) is special in Padang Galak because it is the home of the Sanur kite festival when you can see teams of 70-80 people manage giant 4 x 10m fish, bird and leaf shaped kites with tails up to 100m long.
