Glenveagh National Park: (18 mins by car). Glenveagh is well worth a visit. Park up and walk (5k) into the castle garden and coffee shop…you can have lunch here. The walk is flat and doable. Bikes can be hired to cycle the route. Visits to the castle are also possible. Alternatively take the bus…tickets can be bought in the visitors centre Climb Errigal: (26 mins by car) Climb the highest mountain in Donegal. Amazing views from the top. Ards Friary: (30 mins by car) Just past Creeslough village to the right is Ards Friary. Enjoy coffee in the coffee shop overlooking the sea. Take the beautiful 30min coastal loop walk to the left of the café overlooking the sea and across to Downings. Visit two little beaches on the loop. The scenery is breathtaking. Marble Hill Beach: (27 mins by car) Just a little further down the road past Ards Friary is Marble Hill beach. There is great coffee and treats to be had in The Shack…a coffee shop beside the beach. A nice beach for a walk. Ards Forest Park: (26 mins Recommended Restaurants/Bars: Mc Cafferty’s Bar Mountain Top Letterkenny. A 10 min walk on the footpath. Enjoy a drink by the open fire.
