Situated in Dunkineely village on the Wild Atlantic Way, an ideal location to explore stunning southwest Donegal or walk to Bunlacky Shore and look out across Donegal Bay. Our period property has been completely refurbished and is offered as two separate holiday spaces or can be connected and to comprise accommodation in one large home. An Teach Lár has two large bedrooms with en suites, bedroom 1 has 4 single beds, bedroom 2 has a king size and a single bed, and a kitchen, dining, seating area. The Studio Room is all in one room, with kitchenette, sitting and sleeping area. The Studio Room also has a separate en-suite shower room. The property is on more than one level with a flight of stairs in An Teach Lár, there are some other steps in both spaces. Shared garden facilities, outdoor seating area and private parking. Situated 60km from Donegal Airport, from 7km to Killybegs, eateries and shopping and 13km from Fintra Beach. Donegal Town is 17 km.
Peter is from Cork and Debbie is from Nottinghamshire, England. They moved here from Spain in July 2023 with our three dogs and began to refurbish the Old Blue Moon Hostel. They are now ready to offer great quality, modernised accommodation and look forward to welcoming you.
We are in the village of Dunkineely on the Wild Atlantic Way, ideally situated to explore south Donegal. The village is between Donegal Town and Killybegs -the largest fishing port in Ireland. There is a world renowned dive site at St John's Point/Light House and many other things to explore such as the Slieve League cliffs, Fintra Beach (blue flag) the Secret Waterfall among so many others. You can walk through the village to Bunlacky Shore and look out across Donegal Bay. The village has a shop, three traditional pubs with music, a butcher, hairdresser, beauty salon and a barber. There is also a medical centre in the village. The pubs do not offer a food service, so bring your own food to cook or eat out in Killybegs or Donegal Town. Buses run from Glencolmcille to Donegal Town via bus service 293 or 495 should you prefer a drive free day. Situated 60km from Donegal Airport, from 7km to Killybegs and 13km from Fintra Beach.
