Situated on 100 acres just 10 minutes’ drive from Glendalough and 1 hour from Dublin, with stunning views of the Wicklow Countryside. Our camping caravans are compact inside (8m squared), so ideally suited for COUPLES and FAMILIES with Young/Pre-teen children looking for an unusual and quirky place to stay tucked away in the trees. They are fully kitted out with bedding, bed linen, towels, kitchenette, and gas lights - there is no electricity or heating in the caravans. We lend out cooler boxes with ice packs free of charge, and guests have the use of communal fridges near the caravans. Each caravan has a picnic bench, charcoal BBQ, and a campfire bowl. Firewood, charcoal, and marshmallows are available to purchase at reception. The unisex heated shower and toilet block is just 150m from the caravan field and has excellent powerful hot showers, hairdryer, and baby changing area. Upstairs in the communal area, we offer free wifi, charge points for electronics and tea, and coffee facilities. Originally used as traditional wagons pulled by a horse, the caravans are small inside, so when all beds are made, there is very little free floor space. For families with older children or guests on the taller side, please be aware that the sleeping spaces are small, so they are not comparable to a typical hotel bed. It is possible to book 2 caravans side by side for extra space, or guests are welcome to bring a tent to pitch alongside the caravan free of charge.

We love and appreciate the outdoors, the Wicklow countryside and our little slice of wilderness. Beyond the Trees Avondale - Treetop walk and great playground. Clara Lara Fun park- outdoor woodland fun park with water slides, row boats, go karts, mini golf Greenan Maze and Farm - farm animals, maze, fairly trail Glendalough Valley - beautiful lakes, monastic site and excellent marked walks, just a 10 minute drive. Powerscourt Gardens, Mount Usher Gardens and Kilmacurragh Arboretum are all within an easy drive and well worth a visit. For a cosy night around the campfire, sample the local brews from Wicklow Wolf, Wicklow Brewery and Wicklow Way Wines. For the best breakfast/brunch in the area try Roundwood Stores, the Avoca Cafe at Mount Usher Gardens, The Wilds near the N11, The Bay Cafe at Brittas Bay Beach or The Firehouse Bakery in Wicklow Town.
