Self contained cottage with stunning views of Ballisadare Bay and Knocknarea mountain. The property is situated at the end of a narrow country lane with ample parking. Fully self-contained with spacious kitchen/living area . The bedroom contains a king sized double bed which can be made into two singles on request. There is also a sofa bed in the living area. Bedding supplied on request.
Sarah lives in the adjacent traditional thatched cottage and is happy to offer help or information about the local area.
Located on the Wild Atlantic Way, Curlew Cottage is ideally situated as a base for exploring the numerous amenities offered in County Sligo and neighbouring counties. Ballisadare Bay is renowned for birdwatching and fishing. Local sandy beaches include Portavade Strand (5km) and Dunmoran strand (10km). Famous surfing locations, Easky and Strandhill, are also located within a half hour drive. There are many fine woodland and mountain walks. The nearest local shop is 3km, Post Office, 2km, Refter's Pub, 2km, Beach Bar, Aughris, 8 km. The nearest supermarket is in Ballisadare, 8 km. Sligo town is 18 km away and offers art gallerys, Yeats Memorial Building, shopping, pubs, traditional Irish music sessions and much more. The
