Dolmen cottage has been totally renovated to the highest standards, we offer a warm cozy atmosphere in a quiet location. This location would suits couples looking to got away from hustle and bustle or a small family with a secure environment to roam the garden. Dolmen Cottage offers luxurious accommodation set over 2 floors it contains a spacious living area with sofa/bed,solid fuel fire and flat screen television. The kitchen has all mod cons and dining area. The large bedroom has a double and single bed, slide robe wardrobe. The bathroom has electric shower and a dressing area fitted out with a Hollywood mirror and hairdryer for the ladies and gents! Outside we have added a patio area with picnic table and benches. We also the 2 sun chairs to relax in.

Hi my name is Margaret, this is my first year renting my property, but l have been in the catering industry all my life. I am a chef who never get tired of cooking for my family. I have 2 grown up children and 2 lovely grandchildren. They spend a month of the summer holidays with me. I love food, eating out and holidays in Spain. I always meet my guests on arrival, to make sure they are settled in and know how things work. I leave tea,coffee,milk,sugar and cereal in the cottage for my guests to help themself. I also try to have some homemade bread on arrival.Theses little things help to create a home from home atmosphere and good holiday experience.

Glencolumbkille is a treasure trove of historical sites, we have Dolmens in the area and l am very fortunate to have one in my garden hence the name Dolmen Cottage. There is the Silver Strand beach,folk Village and Slaibh Liag all on our doorstep. The Cloghanmore Megalithic tombs dating from3000BC is a short 300m from the property. There are also lots of beautiful walks in the area. In 2018 Glencolumbkille was voted the coolest place on the planet by National Geographic, making Dolmen Cottage a great destination for a unique and memorable holiday experience.
