Welcome! We’re delighted to host guests in the beautiful Castlemaine area — the gateway to both the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. When we’re not welcoming guests, we're kept busy raising our four daughters and farming sheep and cattle on our nearby farm. Castlemaine is a charming village nestled between the Slieve Mish mountains and the Atlantic coast. Known as the gateway to the Dingle Peninsula, it’s a perfect location for exploring the Ring of Kerry, the Wild Atlantic Way, Inch Beach (only 10 minutes away), Dingle and the iconic Connor Pass. The property's unique character is complemented by its proximity to the river Maine, providing picturesque views and opportunities for leisurely walks along the riverbank. Guests love the local scenery, friendly pubs, and easy access to outdoor adventures, including hiking, surfing, horse riding, and cycling. The area is steeped in Irish folklore — Castlemaine is even said to be the birthplace of the legendary Wild Colonial Boy. For day trips, Killarney, Killarney National Park, The Gap of Dunloe and Tralee are all within a 30-minute drive.
