Ivy Cottage: The Little 100 year old cottage with the big heart was built in the 1840's by Lord Kenmare to house the staff of the famous Killarney National Park Estate which is just across the road from Ivy Cottage. Ivy Cottage is a listed building and protected structure. Lovingly restored & full of character & charm! Cosy, quaint & unique we have retained many of the original features and are fortunate to adore our home. Breakfast is served in our dining room, on fine china listening to classical music. When the sun shines we also offer breakfast on the patio. Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities are available in your room for you to enjoy whilst reading a book, listening to music or planning your adventures in Kerry. Excursions, recommendations & dinner reservations are available to our guests. We have two bedrooms which are beautifully decorated, one is a twin room and the other a king. We look forward to sharing our beautiful home with you and ensuring you a truly magical stay in Killarney and the Kingdom of Kerry.
I am interested in photography, gardening, interiors, reading and enjoying life. I am blessed to live in the most beautiful part of Ireland and enjoy walking, hiking, cycling, & boating. Meeting people, creating memories and spending time in the garden also Killarney National Park which is steps from our front door. Welcome to Ivy Cottage, Killarney in County Kerry ! We are a ten minute walk to Killarney Town Centre. There is no parking at Ivy Cottage but parking is available five minutes away. Killarney - A walkers paradise and a cyclists dream. The Magical Killarney Demense & National Park is directly across the road walk around Killarney's famous Lakes, visit Ross Castle take a boat trip to Innisfallen Island or Lord Brandon's Cottage. Take a Jaunting car trip to Muckross or through Killarney National Park. Do the Gap Trip, Hire bikes and cycle to Dinis Cottage & through Killanrey National Park. Hire a boat & gillie for fishing on Killarney's famous lakes. Killarney Golf & Fishing Club is five minute drive from Ivy Cottage and is truly beautiful the golf club with panoramic views of Killarney's lakes and mountains. Visit St. Mary's Cathedral at the end of Port Road. five minutes from Ivy Cottage. We are a ten minute walk to Killarney Town Centre 1 km. Drop in Yoga Classes and top class day spas will give you back your Zen! We have a vast array of fantastic restaurants to suit all tastes and fantastic bars with live entertainment nightly.
