Kate's Cottage consists of a kitchen/diner with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, dining seating for six people, and breakfast bar for two people, a utility with washing machine and tumble dryer, and a sitting room with Smart TV and woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of a double, double with en-suite shower room, twin, and family room with en-suite shower room, serviced by a bathroom and cloakroom. Outside, there is a non-enclosed front garden with patio, gravelled area, and picnic bench and private driveway parking for six cars. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Sorry, no smoking. The traditional village of Clonbur is located between Lough Mask and Lough Corrib in County Galway. Offering a small selection of shops and pubs, it retains a distinctly Irish feel with its own unique character and charm. There are a number of places of interest to visit in the surrounding area, including Ross Hill Abbey, Ballykine Castle and Lough Coolin. For walkers and hikers, the imposing Mount Gable offers one of Ireland’s most scenic mountain walks, with the trail beginning less than 2 miles from Clonbur. The nearby village of Cong is well worth a visit and is famed as the setting for the John Wayne movie, ‘The Quiet Man’. It is also home to Ashford Castle with its magnificent architecture, fine dining and sprawling golf course. Loughs Corrib and Mask are world-renowned for trout and salmon fishing and boats and guides are available locally. Clonbur makes an ideal base for exploring other attractions in the area such as Galway City, the Connemara National Park and Clew Bay to the north.
