This comfortable bedroom with a private bathroom is ideally located within walking distance of Cork City Centre. All of the houses on our laneway are located within an area of architectural conservation and they date back to the 1700s. Your accommodation is on the 3rd floor of the house, (two flights of stairs to climb) therefore, the accommodation is not suitable for children or for any people presenting with mobility issues. Guests are given plenty of privacy here and you will not have to share the space on your floor with any one else. You will normally only meet the host on arrival and you will need to check yourselves out on the morning of departure. For guests who are arriving very late at night or for those times the host is unavailable to meet you, you will be emailed the code to open a key lock box on the wall outside the property before arrival. Room amenities include a very comfy king side bed, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, kettle, a range of teas and coffee pods. Snacks and a bottle of water will be left in the fridge for you. There is also a local Centra' grocery store close by. The private bathroom with all necessary toiletries, and always available instant hot water, is located just outside your bedroom. We are a mere 10 to 15 minutes walk away to the city center where the majority of shops, bars, restaurants, nightlife are located. There is a bus stop nearby but walking into the City is the fastest option. Free on street parking is available on a nearby street. Details will be send to you before arrival. Myself and my husband live here on a seperate floor, we are both actively retired. We enjoy walking, gardening, travelling and spending lots of time with our two small grandsons. We enjoy welcoming guests from all over the world and love to share all the interesting facts of Cork City and beyond. As it is a quiet family home, we do have a few rules in place in order for everything to run harmoniously. 1. Only registered guests are allowed to enter and stay in the house. 2. I don't allow smoking of any description anywhere in the house. 3. Please observe the quiet hours at night. 4. I can't usually offer early check-in or late-check out, however, for your convenience, you can drop off your luggage before check-in or collect it at a later time after check-out. It's an ideal accommodation option for a solo traveller, two friends or for a couple looking for a quiet and a safe place to rest their head for a night or two, yet at the same time, have the convenience of being a short stroll away from the city center. On arrival, you will be given a set of keys and you can come and go as you please. I wish you a pleasant stay!

We are located in Shandon, the old and historic part of the city. Its a residential neighborhood with a mainly older population. Along its narrow and quaint laneways you will find numerous vintage alehouses in addition to some modern cocktail bars. Close by are the Shandon Bells & Tower, the Cork Butter Museum, Firkin Crane, Shandon Craft Centre, Linehan's Irish Hand Made, Sweet Factory and the wonderful 'Four Liars' Syrian Restaurant. The ever popular Myo cafe is also nearby, a very much community driven venue that offers a wonderful combination of Irish and multiculturalism charisma. The Sin E pub located in nearby Cobourg street offers traditional Irish music sessions every evening after 7 pm.
