Located on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Rathvilly (10 minute walk). Easy access to Counties Carlow, Kildare and Wicklow known as the “Garden Of Ireland”. Immersed in scenic countryside and within one hour drive of the outskirts of Dublin and Kilkenny cities.
The family residence is next to the Mews and set in 2 acres of mature gardens alive with birds, interesting bee hives, chickens and fish pond.
A short drive will offer magnificent hill walking experiences,
enjoy an enchanting walk in Altamont Gardens with woodlands that sweep down to the river Slaney. Rathwood Train, Maize, Shopping Centre and Café Restaurant is great for families and food. The Chocolate Garden of Ireland is next door to Rathwood with sumptuous handmade chocolates. Mount Wolseley Golf Spa Resort is also close-by and near to Carlow is Ducketts Grove an interesting wander. Lisnavagh House and wedding venue is close by.
Located only one hour drive from the outskirts of Dublin, a car is recommended to enjoy the area to the full. However, if one is more active and enjoy walking and/or cycling a few nights may be just the tonic. Rathvilly is on the main Dublin bus route and a short walk (5-10 minutes) to the Mews.
