Oakhurst is an outstanding Victorian detached home, boasting many original features, situated in beautiful private gardens and with undisturbed views overlooking Cork Harbour. The Double Room has recently been decorated and provides a wardrobe with plenty of hanging space and wooden hangers, fresh towels and bedlinen. The King Size bed which has been described by guests as "one of the most comfortable beds in Ireland!" The room includes an en-suite with shower with ample hot water. Bodywash, shampoo and hairdryer are provided for our guests.

I have a very friendly, warm approach and any guests will be made to feel like they are home from home. I'm happy to help with reservations and give visitors advice on things to do and places to visit. If any guests have special requests I am always here to make sure you have the best time you could wish for, so please ask and I'll try my best to help. At this point I should point out I have two Golden Doodle dogs who live here, they are extremely friendly and well trained. I do my best to keep them out of the way but most people want to meet them.

Oakhurst is located in the historic town of Cobh, famous for being the last stop for the Titanic. There are many nearby tourist attractions, including the stunning St Colman's Cathedral, the Titanic Experience, Fota Wildlife Park, Spike Island and Cork Boat Hire. There are regular trains in to Cork City which is only 30 minutes away. Midleton with its famous Jameson Distillery is only 25 minutes drive away and a 45 minute drive takes you to Blarney Castle where you can kiss the famous Blarney Stone.
