Welcome to Rodeen Country House, on the magnificent Beara peninsula in the South West corner of Ireland. Our guest house is located at 3 minutes from the busy fishing port of Castletownbere. Set in an exceptional sub-tropical garden, nestled in the Caha mountains and overlooking Bantry bay, with panoramic views of Bere island, the house offers quite seclusion for visitors. The surrounding area is the ultimate in peace and tranquility. Rodeen has a comfortable residents’ lounge with a splendid view over the glistening waters of Bantry bay and Bere island. The visitors can enjoy a coffee or a tea with other residents around a log-burning stove. Many books and board games are waiting for them. The 3 rooms with their distinctive ambiances feature en-suite facilities with cosy comfortable beds. All the rooms are equipped with a microwave, a fridge, a kettle, TV. A perfect night’s sleep is guaranteed with still silent nights. The breakfast (as an option) is made of Irish regional products (Beara honey, jam, cakes..). Free wifi and private parking are available for guests on site.

From Rodeen Country House, you can drive along the coast to enjoy the landscapes of the Ring of Beara, discover the towns of Kenmare (48km), Bantry (51km), Killarney (90km), Cork (125km) or even go to the national forest park of Gougane Barra (65km). The area is popular for golfing, cycling, hiking, kayaking. You can also visit Bere island and Dursey island. The village of Eyeries, Allihies’ beach, the Healy pass which crosses over the spine of the peninsula, the Buddhist meditation centre “Dzogchen Beara” should not be missed.
