Green Chromide homestay is a simple yet luxurious waterfront villa located in an Island called Munroe Island in Kollam district, South of Kerala is a perfect place to spend your vacation. Stay in independent, homely, waterfront villa run by a family, on a beautiful island, in the banks of the river Kallada which gives you a mesmerizing view of the river surrounded by coconut trees which are bending towards the river as though they are bowing river Kallada. Staying at our homestay is definitely a wonderful opportunity to experience the real essence of Kerala and of course with a lovely family to take care of you. It is a special place, as it provides something different, especially for those who prefer small, friendly places, and it is the perfect hideaway for people trying to escape from busy city life…
Green chromide homestays welcomes you to be looked after and cared by our family (myself Sunaina and my in-laws. After spending almost 3 decades in a city and working with the major corporate sector, I moved to this little heaven far from the busy city life. It’s truly a magical place to live, work and stay in and this is my very personal experience. You will feel as though the time is running slow….. We love meeting new people, talking to them, learning about different cultures around the world and also showcasing the village life and culture. I love watching movies, making handmade jewelry, hanging around with my friends and traveling with my family.
This place is for people who would like to enjoy the peaceful Kerala's countryside life. Most of the area is surrounded by water. This island is formed by the confluence of the lake and river. It has narrow canals, lagoons, prawn and green chromide farms, backwaters, mangroves, unmanned islands, etc. Its a little village with simple and friendly people. Nearby attractions: *Kollam city and surroundings- 23 kms (Around 53 mins) *Thangassery lighthouse- around 25 kms *Thenmala Ecotourism-63.6kms(Around 1hrs 53 mins drive) *Kotttarakara Temple - 23kms(around 53 mins drive) *Jatayu hills in Chadayamangalam - 46 kms(around 1Hr 20 mins drive)
