Beautiful home in Mala Village, very safe, on the edge of the forest, and good for local sightseeing. Our place is 1 hr away from Udupi.
Town is accessible via public transport from Mangalore and Karkala. There are a few nearby restaurants where guests can plan to eat during their stay. We will be happy to recommend them restaurants to check out. Suitable for families that want to enjoy a quiet vacation close to nature. Bring infants or pets at your own risk.
The space
Mala is an ideal place for those who would like to live in the midst of verdant nature, enjoy local cuisine and spend the day in exhilarating activities such as trekking, star-gazing, and photography or just relaxing in the arms of breathtaking nature.
Our house is located in Heranje, Mala, of Karkala Taluq in Udupi district, Karnataka. You can enjoy the luxurious feel of the well-furnished independent cottage.
A vacation here with family or friends offers various activities while relaxing in a rural ambiance. You have the unique opportunity to go trekking on the slopes of the Western Ghats and view the immense local biodiversity. The water bodies such as waterfalls, natural pools and gurgling streams ensure complete relaxation. Nightfall is a time to experience star-gazing, the joys of local cuisine and village stay. Mala is also close to Karkala, a small town which is the home of Jain cultural heritage sites.

The house is strictly vegetarian. No meat or fish is permitted. Bringing non veg parcel is allowed.
