Incredible! one unwittingly utters in surprise. Mother nature has been extremely generous to Raadballi Retreat in Pong Dam lake. There is thick evergreen forest on all sides. So, it is completely peaceful and free from any outside interference. Fresh air, pure water, biodiversity of Himalayan herbs and rich wildlife are its most cherished assets. What else could any one seeking peace ask for? Many call it “Jungle mein Mangal”.
I belong to that rare rustic group which, irrespective of race, colour or creed form a strange fraternity who at the least opportunity are off to the mountains, distant islands or vast and lonely jungles.
Cooking and serving choicest cuisines whether in the house or in my jungle abode is my favourite choice. This alone is my introduction coupled with an open arm invitation to all those in search of peace, solitude and adventure.
The retreat is nestled amidst evergreen jungle at Pong Dam lake. There are beautiful hill ridges around it. Above all, it is certainly an ideal destination for bird watching. Boating and fishing in Pong Dam are other major attractions for tourists. A nature explorer finds attractive adventure trails in the midst of forest. World famous Masroor rock cut temple is rather close by. Furthermore, there are several scenic nature treks. The retreat is rich in flora and fauna in particular.
