Bjarmaland Cottages is your home away from home when you explore the Golden Circle and the South of Iceland—a beautifully decorated and cozy cottage in the small greenhouse village of Laugarás. In August 2025, a new high-end bathing lagoon will open in Laugarás – Laugarás Lagoon. The lagoon will offer a unique experience of relaxation in natural surroundings, featuring top-class facilities and a fine dining restaurant: Ylja Restaurant. Laugarás Lagoon is located just a 5-minute walk from our cabins, making it the perfect addition to your stay. The cottage is a 25 square meter studio with a living space, a sofa, and a well-equipped kitchen with a small dining table. There is a double bed in the space with a very comfortable Sleepy mattress. The bathroom is nice with a spacious shower.

Me and my husband Úlfar Örn worked in advertising for many years. For the last decade, we have been working with Úlfars art and running a small gallery. We lived in Reykjavík and also hosted many travelers in the city. In 2020 we decided to move to the countryside with our small gallery and now we also can host some guests in our cottages which we love to do.

Located in Laugarás a small village initially built up of greenhouse farmers. They settled here because of the areas hot water (geothermal area).
