Very nice 4 bedroom farmhouse. This is a home that turns into a small guesthouse in the summer so guests should be prepared that it is not a classic guesthouse but a home. Some people have problems with it but most people have liked it.
I'm born on a farm in Sultir (close by Ásbyrgi) and I've lived at Grímsstaðir most of my life with my husband Bragi.
At Grímsstaðir we are close to Dettifoss the most powerful waterfall in Europe ( even if the eastern road is closed for winter/spring). We're positioned on high plains with 360° view from the house c.a. 400m above sealevel.
Closest store is in Reykjahlíð by Mývatn ( about 40 km )
