Krákhamar apartments is situated at the farm Blábjörg in Álftafjörður in east Iceland. The first cabin with two separate apartments is built in the spring 2017 and the second cabin is built in the spring 2018. Modern beautiful apartments situated in a unique natural paradise in the country side. 32 sq meter studio apartment with bathroom with a shower, well equippt kitchen and private terrace. The location is surrounded by mountain scenery and a view to the sea.
Krákhamar apartments is a great choice to spend the night on your way around Iceland, also if you are looking for a quiet spectacular place to stay at and explore the nearest surroundings.

We are located around 76 km east of the town Höfn and 22 km south of Djúpivogur town. This is in the middle of the country side and the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful nature or the perfect place to stop on your way exploring Iceland.
Álftafjörður (Bay of Swans) is the southernmost fjord in East Iceland. The bay is a shallow sea lagoon semi-closed by a sand reef. The name derives from the presence of swans residing in the bay.
The area has great walking and hiking trails in spectacular natural surroundings. You can walk along the shore and look at the seals and wild birds in the area. At the farm we have sheep and one dog. A number of reindeer herds habitate in the nearby mountains and are visible every now and then.
The town Djupivogur is situated 22 km east of Krákhamar apartments. There you can find all basic services including a swimming pool. From Djupivogur you can also take the popular boat ride to the beautiful island of Papey. The nearest supermarket is situated in the town of Djupivogur.
