Guesthouse Lambastadir is located 7 miles east of Selfoss on Highway 1, one hour away from the capital, Reykjavik. There are eleven rooms in the guesthouse, all with private bathrooms. Rooms are available in single, double or triple. Emphasis is placed on quality and personal service. Complimentary wi/fi internet connection is offered and a outdoor hot tub to enjoy the midnight sun in the summer or northern lights on winter nights. Breakfast is included in the room price. The guesthouse is well situated for visiting local attractions such as the National Park Thingvellir, Gullfoss, Geysir and the Westmann Islands. Lambastadir is a family-friendly place where sheep, horses, chickens, ducks and geese are nearby, great views and a quiet environment. The town of Selfoss is nearby offering restaurants, shops, a swimming pool and other entertainment.

Our name is Almar and Svanhvít and we are the owners of Guesthouse Lambastaðir and the farm Lambastaðir. It was the year 2005 we bought the farm Lambastaðir. We had lived in Selfoss for 15 years and wanted to move where we could have sheep, horses and other animals. In the autumn 2011 we decided to build a guesthouse. The guesthouse was fully built in the spring 2012 and we opened in May that year. We are quite satisfied with our decision and we have had lots of good reviews from our guests, our goal is of course to see the guests happy when they leave.

Guesthouse Lambastadir is located out in the countryside. It is agriculture area and our neighbors are sheep farmers, cow farmers and horse farmers. We feel our guesthouse perfectly located for those wanting to visit historical places and Iceland´s unique nature in the south part of the country.
