it has washer and dryer, which was great.」
This newly completely renovated cottage offers beautiful surroundings, very private and great comfort. It is a mere 15 minutes drive from the town Selfoss and it sits on the bank of Iceland‘s biggest fresh water river, SOG. Sog is also famous for it‘s Atlantic Salmon and Arctic Char. The cottage has three twin bedrooms all ensuite and one double bedroom ensuite with a private shower. Offering a hot tub on the veranda overlooking the river and sauna inside the house, gives you added comfort. Wifi is included, there is a TV with Netflix for you to enjoy. Thingvellir National Park is a 25-minute drive away and Geysir approx. 50 min.drive and Kerid, a volcanic crater lake, is 10 km from Lax-á Asgardur Cottages.
Lax-á Asgardur's cottage includes a recently renovated modern kitchen with an gas stove, an electric oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and much more. The cottage has a terrace with coal BBQ and furniture for you to enjoy the scenery, which includes rich birdlife.
Fishing licenses can be arranged on request. Lake Thingvallavatn is within 15 minutes’ drive.
