Appartamento Pavone is available to rent any time of year, and has direct, and private access to a patio with table and chairs, bbq (gas provided) and garden area, with unlimited parking. The beautiful external swimming pool is available to our guests during May to September, and is only shared with the main villa (where we live on site for half the year). There are sun loungers, a table and chairs, and floats for the pool, available for your use - 10:00-21:00 every day. Using the code/key from the lock box outside, you will enter the newly (2024/25) refurbished apartment. The living room / kitchen / diner contains a kitchenette fully equipped with all required appliances and everything you need to dine in. Also in this room there are sofas, a dining table and chairs, as well as an open fireplace and flat-screen tv with smart functionality. Along a small hallway is Bedroom 1, equipped with a king-size bed, storage space and hairdryer. Bedding and towels are provided for up to 5 guests. Continuing along you will find the shower room, with a step-in corner shower, washbasin, toilet and bidet. Complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are included. Through another hallway you will find Bedroom 2, with a king-size and a single bed (making a lovely family room) and is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This room also provides storage space, a dressing table and a hairdryer. The remainder of the apartment, previously described, is fitted with central heating radiators, that you can control as needed, retractable insect screens and a portable fan.

We arrived in Italy from Yorkshire, England, with dreams of diving into all the goodness this country has to serve up - and it really does not disappoint. As we continue to search for the elusive 'lesser-spotted visa' to enable us to stay here full-time, we spend 6 months a year at Villa Pavone - the building to which Appartamento Pavone belongs. Our journey is not just about exploring the famous landmarks and savouring the delicious pasta, pizzas and gelato... it is also about creating a cozy corner for you to kick back and relax in and let your worries drift away too! In our quest we continue to make improvements in and around Appartamento Pavone, whilst scouting picturesque locations and tucked-away spots where you can unwind and soak in the beauty of Italy.

Appartamento Pavone enjoys a countryside location - approximately 100 km north of Rome - 1 hr 15 mins / 1 hr 30 mins by car, 2 hrs by train approx. From here you can enjoy views of the wildlife, fields, mountains, and local town of Montefiascone perched on the hillside (approx. 10 mins by car). If you walk to the top of the historical centre of Montefiascone, you will marvel at the amazing views out over Lake Bolsena (another 5 minutes drive to its edge), the largest volcanic lake in Europe. At the lake you can swim and do other water activities, as well as enjoy the local catch in one of many seafood restaurants and interesting towns located around its 43km circumference. With a car journey of between 10-75 minutes you can reach many wonderful places: delicious restaurants with amazing views, thermal baths, serene gardens blooming with vibrant flowers, to the wonderful lull of lapping water, stunning sunsets, majestic mountains, and of course, the wineries! Oh, and don't forget to visit the monsters in the sacred forest! We have left some details, in the apartment, of places of interest to read about and help provide you with inspiration for your stay and beyond. We may also be able to offer other recommendations and help organise table reservations for during your stay - just let us know. Montefiascone train station is around 5 minutes drive away, and parking is free (or we may be able to help to shuttle you there). Here you can get trains all over Lazio (including Rome), and also into Tuscany, Umbria and beyond! There is also a limited bus service close by that will take you into Montefiascone, or in the opposite direction to Viterbo. However, if you have any transport needs, please ask as we may be able to help with booking a taxi or sorting other alternatives. However, if all else fails, come and stay and celebrate 'la dolce far niente' - the sweetness of doing nothing!
