Our holiday home is in a strategic location in the heart of Agrigento, on Via Acrone 56, just a few minutes’ walk from the splendid Valley of the Temples, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can immerse yourself in the history of ancient Akragas by visiting the majestic Doric temples, such as the Temple of Concordia and the Temple of Juno, or relax among the citrus groves and centuries-old olive trees of the Garden of Kolymbethra. Less than 250 meters away you’ll find the historic center with the lively Via Atenea, perfect for a stroll among baroque churches, artisan boutiques, traditional cafés, and pastry shops. Culture lovers can also visit the Regional Archaeological Museum “Pietro Griffo” or the Birthplace of Luigi Pirandello, one of Italy’s greatest playwrights. For a day at the beach, you can drive to the famous Scala dei Turchi, a stunning white cliff overlooking the turquoise sea, or unwind at the beaches of San Leone, lively with beach clubs, restaurants, and bars along the seafront.
