Our project "Casa Imayah" was born in 2021 when, eager for change, we left Brussels to settle in the countryside of southern Sicily, on the border between two continents. In our families of origin, exile was the one that linked the south to the north of Europe. Is it fate or chance that we choose to complete the loop by descending southwards? In any case, we certainly had an appointment with the lands of "Cavasecca" to root our desire and our commitment to take care of the living, its natural rhythms and to share its wisdom. The beauty of this property between earth and sky, sea and fire is also that of the presence of our animals, Milò and Lya, the dogs, Nina and Charlie, the cats, who walk around, purr in the sun, climb trees or follow us in line on each walk. Alternately therapist and photographer, we welcome you in our adventure to offer you rest, retreats, reliance, sharing, inspiration, in all simplicity or to taste our first cold-pressed olive oil. And since taking care of the living and regenerating oneself is also taking care of oneself, we suggest that during your stay you follow sunrise and sunset meditations, Pilates and mindful movement classes, relaxation or to receive energy treatments or massages. Finally, aware that we are invited to this land and wishing to respect it as much as possible so that our presence to each and every one of us is virtuous and creates well-being for the living, we commit ourselves to the rational use of natural resources, to a conscious presence and to respect the wild tranquility of the place. In the countryside of the Iblei Mountains, on the small hills of "Cavasecca", in Noto, in eastern Sicily, "Casa Imayah" opens its windows to the sea and Mount Etna. In the heart of a lush garden with native trees and for some of them centenarians, this "House of Mother Earth" of 220m2 still evokes the small hamlet it once was. Its restoration is the result of a collaboration with craftsmen and craftsmen of the village, just as the materials were chosen mainly from local trade. Its traditional "dry stone" body of more than a century has been joined by wings made of modern materials. This alliance between the past and the present is inspired by respect for the traces left by history and the desire for all the comforts of a modern home. With four bedrooms with private bathrooms, a sauna and its own shower room, a swimming pool and its pool house, this peasant house has regained its quiet strength of yesteryear and the radiance of a newborn baby. Long dry stone walls, typical of the culture of the southern Mediterranean, wind through the wild flowers and herbs and thus punctuate the walks on the small paths of this 18-hectare szekler property caressed by the sea air. Like the blood vessels of the oldest plateau to emerge from Sicily, they undulate, thicken, descend and then rise again on the earth and the red rock, offering here and there alcoves of contemplation, reading or contemplation. Finally, the small hamlet of "Casa Imayah" is divided into two parts that complement each other but do not touch each other. Thus we offer you the villa located at sunrise while we live in the villa at sunset. In order to preserve everyone's privacy and ensure a discreet presence, we have chosen facilities that offer the freedom to meet or not.

Secluded on its hill of "Cavasecca", this haven of peace seems timeless while enjoying a central position and ideal for discovering the natural and cultural riches of Baroque Sicily. The "Casa Imayah" is located 15' by car from the first white sand beach "Fontane Bianche", 20' from the majestic "Cavagrande" fault, 30' from the "Vendicari" reserve, 45' from Catania Fontanarossa airport and thus lands at the crossroads between Siracusa and its almost island Ortigia, Avola, Noto and Palazzolo Acreide. Also, the territory of the Iblei Mountains is full of virtuous associations and cooperatives offering a wide choice of organic and local products, archaeological walks or discoveries of preserved traditions.
