Casa Museo A’ Rina is located on the slopes of Mt. Etna. It is an old winery converted into a spacious country villa with lots of character and a total area of 280 sq. m / 3000 sq. ft. Surrounded by its vineyards, there are stunning views from the panoramic roof terrace. On one side the views of majestic Mt. Etna and on the other side with spectacular views of the Bay of Catania all the way to Syracuse. The villa boasts a wonderful collection of antique utensils used by the family for wine making, including the ancient wine-press in the living room. This all combined with the original rustic and comfortable furniture, creates a truly local and authentic Sicilian countryside experience. There is free Wi-Fi in all the rooms and on the roof terrace. Ample free parking is available close to the villa. For the cooler days, all bedrooms are equipped with heating and there are pellet heaters in the living room and on the first floor. The tranquil location of the villa ensures a very high level of privacy and is the perfect base to explore the many attractions of Belpasso and its surroundings. You will have the exclusive use of the entire villa during your stay.

Ciao, I am Virginia. I am Sicilian and proud of my beautiful island. I really like meeting new people from different cultures, countries and backgrounds. This is one of the reasons I chose to welcome guests to my family’s country villa. I will welcome you upon your arrival and meet with you before your departure. I am not residing at the property, however during your stay I am available to answer all your questions by phone, mail, whatsapp to provide assistance and give recommendations on local attractions, restaurants, shops, excursions, etc. There is no public transportation in the immediate vicinity, therefore your own means of transport is required. If you arrive at the Catania Airport you can rent a car there and I will accompany you to the villa. Or, if you prefer, we can meet at another location and I will escort you to the villa from there. I am also available to accompany you on a visit to Catania and show you the ancient Greek and Roman sites, the baroque convents and palaces and tell you about the local legends. Or show you fascinating ancient Greek Syracuse and beautiful Ortygia or elegant Taormina with its many sights.

Nearby Mt. Etna is the number one attraction in the area and offers year-round a wide variety of outdoor activities. Explore the many picturesque villages and towns surrounding the volcano. Catania, Taormina, Syracuse and some of Sicily’s most beautiful beaches can all be reached quickly by car. For the kids there is the Etnaland amusement park close by. Etnapolis, one of Italy’s largest shopping malls, is within a 10-minute drive. The centre of Belpasso with all types of shops and restaurants is 1 km away. Then, return to the peace and quiet of your villa to relax and enjoy the magnificent views and sunset from the roof terrace. The house is located in the typical countryside of the slopes of Mt. Etna, surrounded the typical local terraces of vineyards and different types of fruit trees. The 30-meter path from the gate to the house is not illuminated - torches are recommended -and there are a few steps to reach the house. There is no through road, therefore only very little local traffic passes the house. What does pass the house most mornings and afternoons is the local sheep and goat flock to and from their pastures, accompanied by their shepherd.
