We live in Florence where we have another property but are only two hours away from Portovenere. We have a local property manger so will you always have someone nearby should you need anything.

This elegantly furnished penthouse apartment provides unobstructed views of the Golfo dei Poeti and of Palmaria Island. You will float above the sea and view endless sunrises from the large picture windows and from your private terrace. We fell in love with this apartment the minute we saw it. The views from the terrace are just spectacular. The views are amazing as our building is not at street level but up above. There is no elevator to our building. There are 107 steps to reach the apartment so we recommend you pack light! Those with limited mobility may have difficulty. The Terrace runs the whole length of the apartment with entrance also from the master bedroom. There is also a private stairway from the street down to Olivo beach, the key to the gate is provided at check-in. Portovenere, like the Cinque Terre, is a cliff side small town and parking can be difficult especially in high season summer months. Its best to come by train to La Spezia and then take a taxi to Portovenere. If you are coming by car, its best to drop off the bags and then go try to park.

The fishing village of Portovenere, a UNESCO World Heritage site, bites deep with striking beauty, ease of access to the sea, hiking trails, fresh seafood and Ligurian pesto. Our apartment is walking distance to all attractions. It is about a 10 min walk down to the main town center. Ferries from Portovenere port depart regularly to the Cinque towns from spring to fall, or if you are adventurous you can take the hiking trails above Portovenere. A short five-minute boat ride, Palmaria Island provides the best hiking and most beautiful views of Portovenere and its coastline
