Your host, Celeste, is Dutch-Italian with roots in Friuli and currently based in Greece. This property is especially meaningful: it belonged to her grandparents, and her grandmother was born in the courtyard. Over the years the house has been updated for comfort, but it remains a truly authentic Friulian home, full of character and tradition. Fanna is a traditional Friulian village where life still follows a calm rhythm. You will find small family-run shops, a few welcoming cafés, and a church that is especially admired for its history and atmosphere. The local language is Friulian, spoken with pride alongside Italian, and the authentic food of the region can be tasted in nearby trattorias and agriturismi.
