The elegant 4-star Hotel Continentale is in Trieste’s centre, a 10-minute walk from the train station. It offers stylish rooms with free internet, plus a varied breakfast. Rooms at the Continentale are soundproofed and decorated with parquet floors and wood furniture. Each one has an LCD TV with satellite channels, and some also feature a spa bath. Wi-Fi is free. The breakfast can be served outdoors on sunny days, or in the elegant Sala Stucchi of the hotel's Café Continentale. It includes both savoury and sweet products and gluten free options. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner and offers fresh seasonal produce. Located on a pedestrian street famous for shopping, the hotel is 450 metres from Trieste’s seafront and main square, Piazza dell’Unità. The Cathedral can be reached on foot in 20 minutes.
