I'm Santina, a journalist with a passion for hospitality and knowledge. What do I like about this job?? the chance to get to know many different places while staying at home. I traveled a lot before embarking on this experience as owner of the b&b and I partly miss holidays, but with people arriving from so many different places, I always feel like I'm traveling around the world.... I live in the structure and am part of this is available with the hope of making the stay of those who choose it pleasant and with a "familiar" flavour; and I want to continue to make you feel this feeling of home even if with the necessary precautions and limitations (difficult to adopt for the people of the south who are used to welcoming their guests with a hug, a handshake and lots of human warmth). They tell me that I have a "green thumb".. in fact I like gardening (it relaxes me a lot) and I love my plants and they reciprocate my attention with lush greenery and splendid flowers that enrich the courtyard made available for your breakfast . I have a good and discreet "Leone" chow chow. Me, my husband Accursio and my furry friend are waiting for you at "our home".

“La Finestra sul Cortile”, in the beating heart of the city, a few steps from the central square and the most interesting historical monuments. Located inside an 18th century building "Palazzo Quartararo", home of nobles and painter artists at the court of Alexander VI of Borgia, the B&B enjoys an optimal position to discover the charm and history of the city, among narrow streets, courtyards and ancient staircases. A few steps away stands the fourteenth-century castle of the Luna Counts, the family responsible for the "Case of Sciacca", in the intricate and oriental maze of the San Michele district, a true Casbah; and again in the centre, with the Jewish quarter (Cadda) among the artisan ceramic shops and the restaurants to taste the many specialties of the local cuisine and blue fish. Further down, stairways and narrow streets lead to one of the most evocative views; the port with its colorful houses and the Caricatore caves, a labyrinth of caves and tunnels dug into the rock. The name of the B&B is given by the presence of an ancient courtyard renovated and used as a relaxation area and internal garden. The car park is not far from the structure. You can leave your car in the San Michele district, Piazza Gerardo Noceto and then take one of the many stairs that reach the center (we recommend Via Pietre Cadute, because it leads directly to the place). But also many nearby streets (Via Santa Caterina, Via Valverde, Via Prampolini, Via Castello (do not venture into Vicolo Castello because it is a dead-end street), Via Licata (paid and timed area), Piazza Mariano Rossi (paid parking) , Viale delle Terme (in summer there is a shuttle to the centre).
