Hôtellerie has always been part of my family; it is like my genetic heritage, a piece of my DNA. It was Nonno Erino and Nonna Augusta (my grandparents) who started my family's hotel tradition in the 1950s, when the city life was growing and the countryside was a place of few opportunities. They started with a tiny tavern in the thriving “Piano” district of Ancona. Nearby, in what was once their apartment where they often welcomed travelers and guests of the restaurant, now rises La Maison di Carla, a small and charming guesthouse consisting of 4 rooms with private bathroom. I decided to gather all the stories of their guests, the story of my family and my own story to bring those spaces back to life, to bring them back to being a guesthouse. So I furnished that apartment where my grandparents dedicated themselves to hospitality, paying attention to every little detail. Design, light, furniture and textiles: I have carefully chosen every single item to make my guests’ stay as pleasant as possible and to make them feel pampered. You can easily reach us by train or by car, and if you come by car, you can park it in the internal parking area or a dozen or so meters from our facility. We work hard to offer a quality service. We trust in relationships and in the value of host-driven actions. We genuinely believe in kindness and familiarity, as hosts and as persons. Whether you are staying for one night or for a whole week, whether you are on holiday or on a business trip, la Maison di Carla will welcome you with warmth and care. In a quiet and peaceful area, but close to the historic center of Ancona, lies La Maison di Carla, a comfortable, refined and newly renovated guesthouse. From here, you can easily reach the heart of the city center for a pleasant stroll among shops, squares and restaurants, the city beach for a dip in an aquamarine sea surrounded by the colored doors of the ancient fishermen's boathouses, the red lantern for a restorative walk, the cathedral from which to observe the ships slowly arriving and departing. But also, the Navy Selection Center (Centro di Selezione della Marina Militare), the headquarters of the Regione Marche and the main industrial areas. Furthermore, from La Maison di Carla, you can easily visit the Conero area and the surrounding art cities; you can reach Sirolo, Numana and Portonovo but also Loreto and Recanati, within a few minutes’ drive. You will be able to discover the beautiful local wineries, but also hidden and less touristic areas of the city. Are you coming by car? You can park it in the free parking lot a few dozen meters from the hotel or, if available and on request, in the reserved parking space in the internal courtyard.
