Our holiday home is located in Monteroni di Lecce, in a quiet and well-served area, just 10 minutes from the historic center of Lecce and about 30 minutes from the most famous beaches of Salento. It is the perfect base to explore the beauty of the region, between art, sea, and traditions. 📍 Lecce, also known as “the Florence of the South,” is a charming baroque city: not to be missed are the Basilica of Santa Croce, the Cathedral, the Roman Amphitheater, and the narrow streets of the old town, full of artisan shops, bars, and typical restaurants where you can taste Salento dishes. 🏖️ A short drive away you’ll find some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy. On the Ionian coast: Torre Lapillo, Punta Prosciutto, and Porto Cesareo, with fine sand and crystal-clear waters, ideal for families. Towards Gallipoli: Baia Verde and Lido Pizzo, perfect for those who love the sea and nightlife. On the Adriatic coast: Torre dell’Orso, Baia dei Turchi, and Otranto, with natural landscapes, cliffs, and turquoise sea. 🍴 In the surroundings, you will find supermarkets, bakeries, rotisseries, pizzerias, and local pastry shops. Lecce can also be reached in just a few minutes for a romantic dinner, a cultural visit, or an evening among the illuminated squares and alleys.
