Nearby: From LIANORA APARTMENT you can walk to Como's historic center in just 5 minutes and stroll through its cobblestone streets, stores, bars and restaurants, churches, and pretty squares. In 10 minutes you can reach: Porta Torre, one of the historic entrances to the walled city; Piazza San Fedele, a pretty little square with the Romanesque-style basilica of the same name; Via Vittorio Emanuele, among the most renowned streets for shopping; Piazza Volta, very lively for aperitifs and after-dinner al fresco dining all year round; and the famous Piazza Duomo, with its marvelous cathedral and its Broletto, both worth visiting.
It is also a 10-minute walk to Piazza Cavour, the largest square in Como, in front of which it is possible to take the Navigazione Lago di Como boat and reach the most famous places on the lake (Cernobbio, Blevio, Torno, Laglio, Argegno, Menaggio, Bellagio, Varenna).
