The flat has been recently renovated (February 2020) and is very bright. It is very pleasant and cosy thanks to its modern and minimal style of furniture; between other comforts you’ll find the Air Conditioning, a Smart TV and a free Internet Broad Band connection. Hanging on the walls are some big photo panels depicting florentine artistic beauties.
The apartment is within two minutes walk from Santa Croce’s Basilica which - aside the Cathedral - is the mainly visited church of Florence. Its interiors are full of monumental tombs, between others those of Michelangelo, Galileo Galilei and Machiavelli to name a few. Inside the beautiful cloister you’ll find the Opera of Santa Croce Museum where is located the famous wooden Crucifix made by Cimabue, Della Robbia terracottas, Orcagna’s frescoes, Bronzino’s paints and the bronze statue of San Ludovico, made by Donatello. Within six minutes walk you can visit the storic Sant'Ambrogio Market, where you can taste and buy the most typical food of Tuscany. Our District is inside the limited traffic zone thus - if you’re arriving by car - it is highly suggested to reserve a place in the near Garage Santa Croce, which is just 2 minutes walk from the house and can apply a fair daily rate (Garage Santa Croce, via delle Casine 17red). In case you’re only looking for a short layover (1 to 2 hours), you can use Sant’Ambrogio Public Parking, which provide only hourly rate (hence a daily stop would be really expensive).
