We are a cosy bed and breakfast with beds for cyclists and pioneers set up high in Penne old town enveloped in countryside, mountains and the sea. The area is very safe and suited to solo travellers and people of all ages and backgrounds. You reach the accommodation entrance up some steep steps off the quiet brick lane, up a quaint alleyway. We are convieniently positioned within walking distance of bars, cafes, restaurants, wine bars, and shops, right on an urban cycle adventure trail. We are also easily reachable on public transport. As soon as you reach our beautiful courtyard, your opportunity to relax or prepare for your adventures begins. Not only does our home offer privacy and comfort, but we are also on hand to share local information. There is also a large shared kitchen with woodburner and seating. There are many little details to make your stay easy, like an underbed box to throw in your rucksack and little extras like outside seating and a boot cleaning space. The Italian breakfast is provided off-site, in the form of a voucher, at a local bar caffè.

Our family moved to Italy to enjoy the landscape, the mountains, the food, family life, and a low-cost great standard of living. The local people kept us here! We have very much enjoyed refurbishing our home to accommodate you. Everything in the bed & breakfast is new or refurbished. We are prolific travellers, so we have designed the rooms with your comfort in mind. We have volunteered at the local tourist point, so we are very happy to share local information with you whether you are visiting as a tourist or are visiting with a home purchase in mind.

Penne is said to be older than Rome. Brick lined streets and alleyways give ancient indications of many eras of architectural interest. There are 7 restaurants within walking distance, and 21 bars. Our breakfast voucher can be used at nearby Caffè dei Pini. Penne can be reached from Pescara and Montesilvano on the bus. From Penne, you can take a bus to the mountain communities such as Farindola and Montebello di Bertona. Penne lake is within hiking distance. Many breeds of birds can be spotted from the courtyard such as Buzzards, Owls, Woodpeckers, Housemartins, Jays, Sand martins, and other rare species. Penne is terrific for MTB and long distance cycling, having previously been host to the Giro D'Italia. Adventure activities such as canoe, walking, biking, and climbing can be booked through Wolftour Discover Abruzzo. Penne currently takes part in the houses for a euro scheme.
