Property information

"Sotto le mura" of Montagnana in an elegant building on two floors a stone’s throw from the historic center we rent rooms with private bathroom in apartments equipped with every comfort. Inside the room there are yogurt, fruit juices, packed snacks, milk, coffee and everything you need to prepare your breakfast in complete autonomy. We gladly accept small dogs requiring a small fee of 5 euros per night. Two standard apartments are on the side of the road from the entrance on the walls, so there may be traffic but the noise is absolutely manageable. Another standard apartment and the apartment with balcony overlook the walls and are on the other side, opposite the street, so it is quieter.

The city of Montagnana has been awarded the Orange Flag for its historical beauty and for the enhancement of local products, also is part of the association The most beautiful villages in Italy. The origins of Montagnana probably date back to Roman times, in a territory subject to frequent floods and surrounded by the river Adige, up to the so-called route of the Cucca that changed the course of the river. After long wars, from 1405 until 1797 the city was part of the Republic of Venice. The name comes from the toponym Motta Aeniana, in medieval Latin motta indicated a small hill while aeniana a mansio.
