Riva degli Schiavoni, the Biennale, and St. Mark’s are all less than a 10-minute walk, while Rialto Bridge is about 15 minutes away. Sottopiano is located in the sestiere of Castello. This neighborhood is populated by the highest number of locals. This means it's easy to find useful shops, fish markets, handcraft shops (not just souvenirs) and the last old cobbler and barber shops. The apartment is for exclusive use of the guests. Do you want to reach Saint Mark’s Square or Rialto in 10 minutes and the Biennale Gardens in 7? Or maybe... do you want to get on a public line boat bound for Murano in 3 minutes? If your stay is at Al Piano, all these options are available. This neighborhood is populated by the highest number of locals. Visit "Walking Venice", our channel of daylife on youtube. This means it's easy to find useful shops, fish markets, handcraft shops and the last old cobbler and barber shops. In this sestiere you’ll find the Biennale Gardens, Arsenale, Sant'Elena (the green area of Venice). Castello shares a border with Saint Mark Square, the historic heart of Venice, and Rialto Bridge, crossroad and center of the city where you can find the central fish market and fruit and vegetable markets. Some of them unfortunately have converted to touristic products, but there are still many authentics...
