A stone farmhouse, furnished in a rustic Tuscan style. Thanks to its hilly position the house enjoys a breathtaking panoramic view over the Mugello valley, an ideal area for many sport activities and historical, cultural and artistic visits. About 10 km away is the international track of the "Moto GP" Grand Prix. Cities of art, such as Florence, Lucca, Pisa and Siena, can be easily reached by car/train and the seaside is just an hour and a half away. The property is for your exclusive use. The farmhouse has been renovated in a rustic Tuscan style with ethnic references from the many trips made by the family. The passion for gardening, nature, food and wine makes the place unique and characteristic. Thanks to the large living area with fireplace, the environment is suitable for large families or several couples. On the same floor are the 3 bedrooms with double beds, a study with a sofa bed plus a double bunk bed and 2 full bathrooms. The house is surrounded by a garden with a built-in barbecue area, a wood-burning oven for pizza and a gazebo with a 12-seat table for pleasant dinners while watching the famous sunset over the Tuscan hills. A large wooden staircase leads to the pool area and private park from where you can take pleasant walks reaching the property's woods where the private truffle reserve and the small family vineyard are located. My name is Tecla and I am Italian, but I was born and raised in South Africa. In Italy I fell in love with the Mugello Valley and I still live here with my family. We are lovers of nature, food and good wine, a world through which also our work takes shape. Dinner can be booked with a typical Tuscan taste of the Mugello area - "Home Restaurant" or you can book a cooking class of home made pasta or pizza. Our guests will have access to all areas of the property because exclusively for your booking. You will not find other guests during your stay. Guests are also welcome in the areas of the family's activities (vegetable garden, chicken coop and vineyard).

A few kilometres from Florence stretches the territory of the Mugello. It is a Tuscan land, rich of history and artistic evidence and above all it is a land of different surroundings from the rugged beauty of the valleys of the Upper Mugello or Tuscany Romagna - rugged and little populated - to the sweet lines of the open basin dotted by the Mugello villages. It is an Apennine land, beautiful and deep, with ridges covered by a great number of beech, chestnut and oak woods; semi-innate valleys cultivated as a harmonious patchwork, crossed by the Sieve river, which seems to take life from the big artificial Bilancino lake. The Medici family who was native of this land had palaces, castles and convents built here. The territory of the Mugello - Sieve Valley has inherited from this period few, but important and typical dishes and wines, all of which are 'natural' tasting as made only with traditional ingredients, avoiding the stronger flavouring agents food and drink are full of nowadays. Lovers of healthy, simple and tasty food are invited to come to this part of Tuscany – the Mugello to be exact – to discover not only the magnificent historical and architectonic landmarks in a setting of great natural beauty, but also traditional dishes and a variety of local produce that have maintained their authenticity to this day.
