Property information

Portion of a villa immersed in a lush valley a stone's throw from the city and a few kilometers from the sea. Independent entrance, private parking, air conditioning and wi-fi. The apartment is located on the first floor of a two-storey semi-detached house which is accessed via a flight of stairs. The apartment is characterized by a large room with kitchenette overlooking the valley, the large window promotes the feeling of total immersion in the natural context in which the house is located. Outside, the furnished veranda, equipped with a barbecue corner, overlooks the citrus gardens of the valley offering splendid sunsets. Inside there are three bedrooms, two of which are double and one with a double bed and a single bed, for a total of 7 beds. All rooms have air conditioning. There are two bathrooms, the first equipped with a large shower and the other with a two-seater hydromassage tub. The apartment is also equipped with a further relaxation area with a reading area and a corner equipped with some gym equipment.

Neighbourhood information

The house is located in a lush and quiet countryside area just three kilometers from the city of Sassari and about ten kilometers from the northern coast of Sardinia. It is surrounded by one hectare of partly flat land which is home to many varieties of fruit trees and other plants typical of the Mediterranean area. In the center of the land stands the large holm oak, s'elighe, which gives its name to the residence. The land, like the entire valley, is crossed for its entire length by the Rio Gabaru, an important stream which on its journey towards the sea fed the ancient mills of the place. One of these has been restored and can be visited. The area is in fact also known as the valley of the mills, and the presence of so much water makes it fertile and rich in orchards and vegetable gardens. The old mule tracks that served to connect the area to the city have now become official paths that can be followed to reach the city or simply to discover the nature of the surroundings. The routes can be visited on foot, by bicycle or even on horseback. In fact, in the valley there is a riding school that organizes lessons, walks and camping under the stars. Walking along one of the main paths, just 1 kilometer from Villa Elighe and crossing a grove of holm oaks at the foot of the old Roman railway, you find the "Planet of the Apes" crag. This is just one of the numerous sites on the immediate outskirts of the city that make the area a paradise for rock climbing lovers. The position allows you to quickly reach the long beach that outlines the Gulf of Asinara. Twelve kilometers of sandy beach with the presence of some organized establishments but above all a free beach. The western exposure allows you to enjoy long aperitifs at sunset over the magical view of the island of Asinara followed by delicious fish-based dinners in the restaurants by the sea.
