Welcome to Ginger Lodge, located 3000 feet above sea-level in Peters Rock, Woodford, in the foothills of the Blue Mountains. You will enjoy our countryside location, with its salubrious climate and panoramic views of the mountains and city in the distance. This quiet and tranquil environment, approximately 45-minute drive from the nearest Town, Papine in Kingston, has attracted visitors in the past who desired a rural, mountainous getaway from the hustle and bustle of town, academics who wanted to write and artists who needed to create. Ginger Lodge is a wooden self-contained one bedroom cottage in a rustic setting which houses the following: a bedroom with a queen-sized bed situated in a loft with ceiling fan and access to internet and Netflix movies; a small kitchen with fridge, table-top stove, microwave, oven-toaster as well as a fire extinguisher; a dining area set next to an open window; a bathroom with hot and cold water and a balcony which allows for complete relaxation and privacy. Security is assured through lights along the pathway leading to the cottage, outside cameras and an intercom which allows communication with the host and owner of the cottage.

My family lives on the property beside the cottage. I am a retired registered nurse and I enjoy welcoming our guests to our mountain nook. We operate a small farm in bee-keeping and the growing of pineapples which we share with guests when available.

The Woodford community is known to be peaceful, friendly and crime-free and protected by its various citizens associations which allows for community participation in its development. Tours are offered by a local transport operator to activities in the mountains including the Mavis Bank Coffee Factory, restaurants in Irish Town and Hardware Gap and transport to and from Kingston
