Vicki is from Switzerland, now living in Florida and a globetrotter traveling the world for business and leisure. Maggie is an architect living in Switzerland and instrumental to the preservation of the vintage charm of our vacation properties. A few years ago we came to Jamaica and fell in love with the culture, the people, music, food and the laid back island lifestyle. Having vacation rentals in Florida and Switzerland we teamed up with Clive to bring our Jamaican-Swiss-American hospitality to Montego Bay. Clive is Jamaican with many years of local hospitality experience. It will be mostly Clive and his team to welcome you and make you feel all right at The Blue Orchid.

Our Mid-Century style Bed & Breakfast villa was built in the 60's and still has its beautiful original wooden staircases. Large verandas let you enjoy the views on the tropical garden and ocean. There is a unique charm here that takes you back into a time when reggae took roots and the nation as we know it today was born. We have soft renovated to keep its 60's style vintage beauty and still are in the process for further improvements. Our guests enjoy all the modern amenities a savvy traveler expects. A tropical pool area invites for a lazy day relaxing and rejuvenation or wind down after a day of adventure.

We are not far from the airport in a quiet, nice neighborhood with residential homes and a couple of small guesthouses. From here it is easy to get around. Hip Strip and beaches are only a 10 min drive. It is the perfect base for discovering all what Montego Bay and surrounding areas have to offer whether you want to stay for one night or an extended stay. Ideal for vacation and business travelers.

We have free parking on property for your rental car should you decide to drive. Keep in mind in Jamaica traffic is on the left. Taxis are readily available. In general transportation can be pricy in Jamaica. Knutsford express busses for city to city travel arrive and leave from the airport.
