Biwako Hanakaido features outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, 3 dining options and rooms with a balcony and Lake Biwako views. It also has a garden and a sauna, while the lobby offers free WiFi. A free shuttle runs to/from JR Ogoto-Onsen Station, which is a 5-minute ride away. Japanese-style rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor and traditional futon bedding, while Western rooms come with beds and a sofa. All rooms all soundproof and air-conditioned, and fitted with a flat-screen TV, a fridge and an attached bathroom. Biwako Hanakaido has a 24-hour front desk, drinks vending machines and a souvenir shop. Guests can unwind in gender-separate public hot-spring baths, or rent a family bath for private use. Guests can enjoy kaiseki traditional multi-course dinner featuring original dishes based on Kyoto cuisine, seasonal ingredients and local specialities. The property also houses cafe hanakomachi and soba noodle restaurant. Room service is available. Biwako Hanakaido is a 15-minute drive from the Omi Jingu Shrine and Saikyo-ji Temple.
